Hotel Lion Sofia

The location was fantastic, with a quick and easy walk to the center of town. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. There were great little places to stop by on the way to the center.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, as it was close to the city center and had easy access to transportation, with a metro station right next to it. I also appreciated the convenience of having KFC, Carrefour, and small shops nearby to buy some food and necessities. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, as they quickly resolved an issue with the WiFi by changing my room.

Good location near train and bus stations. Classic design and clean reception area. Spacious rooms with great views. Nice cafe attached for breakfast. Comfortable bed and well-heated bathroom.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The hotel is located in a very safe central area, just a short walk from the famous Vitosha street. This makes it convenient for exploring the city and visiting popular attractions. Additionally, the rooms offer a pleasant view over Leva Most and some even have a nice balcony, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Furthermore, the breakfast, although with fixed menus, is included in the rate, making it a good value for money.

There was one aspect that could be improved.

Great location, close to the city center and public transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable, with good facilities nearby. The airport shuttle service was convenient and the driver was friendly and helpful.

The check-in process was a bit of a disaster, with unfriendly staff and issues with the key card and electricity. The breakfast buffet, served in the neighboring restaurant, was crowded and the orange juice was not good.

I was actually surprised by the spaciousness of the room I stayed in at Hotel Lion Sofia. It had a charming little balcony that overlooked Lions Bridge and the city, providing a nice view at night. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to Serdika and the metro right in front. Although the breakfast was simple, the staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located near the main attractions, with a lift to the metro right outside for anyone with mobility issues. It is also close to the train station and city center, making it easy to explore the city. The attached restaurant, where breakfast is served, offers a good variety of food options. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of Lion Bridge from the 5th floor.
